Tufcoat has three powder coating lines
Line 1 is fully conveyorized
powder coating system with full
reclaim capabilities and can handle parts up to 101/2' long, 34"wide and
58" high. Pretreatment on this line is provided using a three
stage iron phosphate spray system.
Line 2 is a batch system used for large parts. This line
utilizes an overhead load bar system for parts up to 1,200 lbs. Parts
heavier than this are handled on carts. This system uses a spray iron
phosphate process for pretreatment. This system is capable of pretreating and finishing
parts 26' long, 4.75' wide and 8' tall. If chemical pretreatment is not
required, parts 26' long, 5.5' wide, 10.25' tall and weighing 3,000 lbs can be
finished.
Line 3 is a fully conveyorized
powder coating system with full
reclaim capabilities and can handle parts up to 12'4" long, 34" wide
and 60" high. Pretreatment on this system is provided using a five
stage iron phosphate spray system. In addition, pretreatment on this system
is enhanced for aluminum through the use of a special final seal process.
The chemistry in this pretreatment system has achieved salt spray results similar
to chromate on aluminum. While achieving good salt spray results, this process is
cheaper to operate than chromate and is not environmentally harmful or regulated.
The combination of these three production lines gives Tufcoat significant
flexibility in scheduling production runs for our customers. Because of
this flexibility, Tufcoat is able to provide rapid turnaround, while still
maintaining a very efficient operation.
Tufcoat's three primary powder coating lines are housed in 50,000 sq. ft. of
warehouse space, resulting in ample space to store customer's product indoors,
protected in a heated building.
